Notice of Hiatus? D: (aka school is kicking my butt!)
I'll be updating twitter as much as I can, but I'm finding myself without the time to put together any posts for this weekend, and probably for the next few weeks.

I'll throw together new updates as they come out onto twitter, though, as I said.

You can find that here: http://twitter.com/EndlessHistory.

I apologize for being so slow this week. I've got all of my final projects and my graduation is just around the corner. Once that's done and out of the way, I'm free and will be happy to celebrate everything else with you.

---and I will be posting those ED7 calendar pages as soon as I get them. ~.~ Just... probably on twitter.

RPGamer: Will the Road to the Sky lead to Falcom?
Article from RPGamer:

This Twitter talk ties into the fact that XSEED Games is now listed as a partner on Falcom's official website. So as luck would have it, RPGamer has uncovered a subtitle, Road to the Sky, that is for a mystery RPG localization project. Since Hardcore Gaming 101 loosely translates the Sora no Kiseki subtitle as Wagon Tracks of the Skies, so it wouldn't be too far off to say that these two could linked.

Read the whole article at the link below.

Potential US Releases? Falcom Auction / Weekly Special / Felghana Updates
Silicon Era Post
Listed as a 'USA' title, this image was posted on Silicon Era:

That looks like the Ys Seven logo to me. What do you guys think?

More commentary on this can be located at Justin0's blog. Linked at the bottom, as well.

Twitter Activity
The primary culprit of this twitter thing is not so much Falcom. Rather it's XSEED.

They had a tweet that said:
What the heck kinda nickname for an RPG gang boss is "Spinach Fiend"...? The Japanese have a very strange sense of humor.
Response from VolumeZombie:
@XSEEDGames What game is that? I kinda want to play it now...
XSEED's response:
@VolumeZombie It's one of our secret unannounced games. Can you guess what it might be? :D

'jigoku no hourensou' (hellish Spinach, or, as they said 'Spinach Fiend') is the name of one of the members of the Raven's Gang in Sora no Kiseki. Could this be another sign?

Though while on the topic of twitter, Falcom did post on theirs that Sora no Kiseki fans need to make sure they don't forget about the 4/27 Dengeki Maoh issue.
Hmm....

Chapter 5 of the Ys manga is out.

Yay!

Twitter Activity
Falcom posted a pair of photos on Twitter recently.
First is the calendar for 2010-2011 that will be packaged with Felghana PSP. The calendar usually has pages that may be hints of what is to come during the year, as Ys Seven was in the 09-10 calendar, and Sora no Kiseki the 3rd suddenly popped up in the calendar before that.

(sorry for the large images, guys.)

By the looks of the photo, this is what I figure:

First (April): Oath in Felghana - The new artwork. The one that's shown at the top.
Second (May): Ys I-II Chronicles
Third (June): Sora no Kiseki AC Drama CD cover
Fourth (July): Ys vs Sora no Kiseki
Fifth (August): Ys Seven Artwork (That's definitely Maya)
Sixth (September): ED7 - Lloyd
Seventh (October): --I think this is the Ouroboros Report cover.
Eighth (November): That looks like Aisha from Ys Seven
Ninth (December): ED7 - Definitely Elie (yay!)
Tenth (January): Ys I-II Drama CD cover
Eleventh (Feburary): That... looks like Brandish artwork.
Twelvth (March): Looks like more Ys artwork. Don't recognize the style of the image.

(I'll make it no secret that the pages for Legend of Heroes VII make me very happy. Now, will we learn the subtitle for the game along with the calendar?)

The second photo is of the bonus CDs that will be released with Oath in Felghana PSP. The JDK special that will be released with Falcom's store, and the X68000 soundtrack that is released with Amazon's presales.

LOTS of News. Mail Order Present Campaign Details!
I should be doing homework. I really should. But I love you guys too much. :D I'm doing a little trick today. This is that the older news for this post is at the bottom, and newer at the top.

Coupon as a prize?

From 4/1/2010 to 4/30/2010 any purchases through the Falcom mail order will be entered into a raffle where there will be 20 names drawn. This impacts all orders made during the month of April.

Winners will be announced on 5/11. They will publish the 20 order #s that came up in the raffle- which is a 2000 yen coupon for towards your next purchase. Make sure you mention the ID number of your coupon when you make that next purchase.

Rules of use for the coupon:
* Cannot be used on an item that costs less than 2000 yen.
* The ID # for the coupon will expire within three months. This means you have to use it by August, people. (That's not hard at all- sounds like you can put it towards Ys vs Sora no Kiseki, as that's out in July~ Hmm~ Good timing there!)

Felghana PSP Play Report Part 2
Ika-chan has posted part 2 of the Felghana PSP play report! You can locate it on the staff blog. Link down below. :D

Speaking of Drama CDs....
The new Sora no Kiseki ones are out. Release list to the right will be updated.

Drama CD Recording Reports
Unlike the one I translated below, this is Falcom's specific report. A lot of the questions asked in it were the same questions, but in depth on this one. If I have the time, I may attempt to translate the whole thing.

(But if someone else does for me, I'll give you full credit, of course.) -- I don't expect that to happen, however. I'll get to it when I've got the time.

Also, like below there is one for the Sora no Kiseki AC Drama CD.

Finally, there's now one, as well, for the Oath in Felghana CD. Animate has one as well, but the procedure last week caught up to me, and I wasn't able to translate it. I'll see what I can do at some point this week. I've included the animate link below for the Felghana drama CD while I'm at it, down below.

The animate link includes the cover, as well- by the same artist who did the Ys drama CDs that were recently released.

Ys Portal Site Quest - Rescue! Wall Breaking! Quest begins
Due to my delays, I've not been able to warn before the first portion ended, but there's still time for the next part.
There are cracks showing up in various places on the Ys Portal Site, and you need to track them down!

First: 3/24/2010 ~ 3/30/2010 at 3pm Japan Time - Ended
Second: 3/31/2010 ~ 4/6/2010 at 3pm Japan Time - Ongoing!
Third: 4/7/2010 ~ 4/13/2010 at 3pm Japan Time
Fourth: 4/14/2010 ~ 4/20/2010 at 3pm Japan Time

HINT: The scope of this search includes the Ys Portal Site Top Page and within each of the event pages off of the Portal Site.

Prizes: All people who give the correct answer will receive a special wallpaper.

Oath in Felghana PSP Release Event

Falcom intends to have an event for the day of Oath in Felghana being released to PSP. Amongst the activities will be raffles for your chance to win Falcom goods as prizes.

If you're in Japan, you should check it out, if it's in your area.

More details will be announced soon.

Short Hiatus??
I had a little hiatus this weekend. I don't think I'm going to get any of the previous updates for it, but the information that came up, you can find on Ancient Land of Ys.

I had a bit of oral surgery done on Thursday morning, was out recovering for the weekend (man, the drugs hit me *hard*), and am catching up on school and work before I can put my attention back on the site. I also got a little distracted with work for the Sora no Kiseki translation project. I'm sure you guys will forgive that, right? :D

There should be a pretty big update this week since it's the end of a quarter, and Falcom is gearing up for Oath in Felghana. I'll be sure to catchup on the updates this week.

Thanks, guys!

Who is Miwa Yasuda? | Felghana Ranking | Ys Character Ranking
Who is that?

Looking at the cast photo posted on Falcom's staff blog with the Ouroboros Report interview, there's a person who is not listed in the cast of characters in the photo.

Miwa Yasuda.

Sometime ago, during the recording, Falcom pointed out that the Leader was recording for the drama CD. Is Yasuda-san the seiyuu cast for him/her?

Yahoo Games Ranking

Also. Ys Oath in Felghana PSP is now #2 in the all games category of Yahoo Japan's anticipated games ranking.

Sora no Kiseki AC (Advanced Chapter) Drama CD Information
The translation of the interview may be a little worse than usual with this. I tried to work on it between calls at work. I'm sure you can imagine how that turned out. *laughs*

Estelle Bright - Kanda Akemi
Joshua Bright - Saiga Mitsuki
Tita Russell - Konno Hiromi
Agate Crossner - Kondo Takayuki
Erika Russell - Yukino Satsuki
Dan Russell - Kusao Takeshi
Scherazard Harvey - Shioyama Yuka
Aina Holden - Kano Yui

This drama CD is a story that takes place between the third story of the Sora no Kiseki series, Sora no Kiseki the 3rd, and the new upcoming work, The Legend of Heroes VII. Estelle and Joshua get to meet Tita's parents, Erika and Dan! And of course, Agate shows up and Erika's explosive trap is sprung! The whole story is loaded with comic antics.

Interview:

Estelle and Joshua Finally Meet Tita's Family! - Tell us what you think of the finished work of this compilation?
Kanda Akemi-san (Estelle): This time around, Estelle and Joshua finally meet Tita's family... Hah- I had a feeling it would be like this. The relationship with Estelle and Joshua has hit its turning point, and the two are willing to admit their feelings for each other. However, they're still a little shy about it.
Saiga Mitsuki-san (Joshua): Though the focus is on Tita and her family, this contains a completely new story for the other characters. In Joshua's case, though he's not like Tita, he still manages to get caught up in her mannerisms, and it manages to reveal new emotions for him. [This is another sentence I can't catch. -ED]
Konno Hiromi-san (Tita): It was great to have Tita, her parents, Estelle, and everyone else together. And I loved Agate this time! This was really his first performance. (Laughs) Though grandad [Albert Russel] wasn't here this time, we'll be sure to have the whole family next time. And it's been awhile since Estelle and everyone have been together. It's been a bit lonely. (Laughs)
Kondo Takayuki (Agate): Recording this was a lot of fun. Apart from how Agate felt about it, it was great with Tita's parents showing up. When I said the line 'I'll never forgive you!' -- I didn't quite feel the same, personally. (Laughs) Afterwards, when Tita was feeling very embarassed towards everything, it left an impression with me.

Suddenly, it's now Erika vs Agate!
Kusao Takeshi-san (Dan): I think Dan is the unluckiest son-in-law, considering that he has to deal with both Erika and her father, and is in such a chaotic family. He's gotta have support in this. (Laughs) [Ehhh... Um... Sorry. XD; -ED] I hope to be involved next time.
Yukino Satsuki-san (Erika): This was my second appearance in the drama CDs [also in drama CD 5], but there was still a lot of energy in the role. Of course, Tita is very, very, very cute. It's great to hear Konno's delivery of her lines. Since her first appearance, I've loved played Erika. And this time, that loathesome Agate dares to make an appearance, and it was a very fun to be involved in the exchange of 'inflammatory words' between Agate and Erika. It was a great feeling, and I hope to be involved in this again.
Shioyama Yuka-san (Scherazard): Drama CDs 7 and 8 were the first time for me to really get involved in these. (laughs) This time, when drinking, you don't really get to see what kind of a bad drunk [Scherazard] is, rather I got to perform the part of the helpful older sister. Of course, I find myself a little envious of the bittersweet relationships with Estelle and Joshua and Agate and Tita. This is something I've missed doing.
Kano Yui (Aina): This is my first time playing Aina. She is quite the drinker- while everyone is drunk, and she'st he only one that's fine, 'hey--!' Scherazard would always say- she is quite the glamorous lady. I like romantic stories, and I already enjoyed the story about Scherazard to begin with. It was a lot of fun. (Laughs).

Drama CD: Sora no Kiseki AC (Advanced Chapter)
Release date: 3/27/2010
Price: 3150 yen
Developer: Nihon Falcom
Sales Agency: Chara-Ani
Limited Edition version is available for purchase on Chara-Ani's website

Ouroboros Report Drama CD Information
There are articles for all three drama CDs that are coming out soon. I'll make individual posts on them, due to the number of stuff they'll have.

---Cast for the drama CD (Family Name First):
Campanella - Itou Kanae
Estelle Bright - Kanda Akemi
Joshua Bright - Saiga Mitsuki
Olivier Lenheim - Koyasu Takehito
Klose Rinz - Minaguchi Yuuko
Scherazard Harvey - Shioyama Yuka
Zin Vathek - Inada Tetsu
Kevin Graham - Nakao Ryouhei
Georg Weismann - Tanaka Hideyuki
Loewe - Midorikawa Hikaru
Bleu Blanc - Miura Hiroaki
Walter - Yoshimizu Takahiro
Lucciola - Nishikawa Hiromi
Renne - Nishihara Kumiko
Queen Alicia - Sasaki Ayako
Alan Richard - Miura Hiroaki
Maximillian Seed - Takatsuka Masaya
Zechs Vander - Hirai Keiji
Ancient Dragon Legnard - Hirai Keiji

(Considering the image, the Leader is probably one of the actors already playing a role. Especially since two play two roles already.)

The drama CDs have mostly followed the adventures of Estelle, Joshua, and their friends. This time around, the story will be told from the perspective of the Ouroboros, the series' infamous secret society. Legion No. 0, Campanella, takes on the role of the storyteller, and the story will follow the actions of the Legion.

Drama CD: Sora no Kiseki Ouroboros Report
Release date: 3/27/2010
Price: 3150 yen
Developer: Nihon Falcom
Sales Agency: Chara-Ani
Limited Edition version is available for purchase on Chara-Ani's website

Interview: [Note: I had a bit of trouble with translating these. I'm sorry if they're off.]

(What are your impressions of your own performance?)
Miura Hiroaki-san (Richard and Bleu Blanc) - When Richard and Bleu Blanc were both in the same scene, I nearly lost it. (Laugh) But I still had a lot of fun.
Nakao Ryouhei-san (Kevin) - Actually, in this, Kevin's scene is when he shows his exceptionally cruel nature and kills Weismann. Kevin has, as I should put it, various personalities, and playing those 'masks' is very enjoyable. With my multiple performances involving Sora no Kiseki, I've come to really enjoy the widespread world-view of the story, and individual gamers have a lot that they can expect.
Itou Kanae-san (Campanella) - A long-time character finally gets a voice! But.... male or female? We don't know. Age, we also don't know. Everything is a mystery! But, from what I saw? I took the role to play as a clown-like boy.
Koyasu Takehito (Olivier) - It's been awhile since I've played Olivier. This time, it was much too short, though, and the game has too little information about his country (Erebonia). I'm waiting for more information! Please, hurry up and give it to us. We're all waiting. (*STAFF NOTE: Legend of Heroes VII, currently in production, might possibly tell the story of Erebonia.)
Midorikawa Hikaru (Loewe) - In the last drama CD, I wanted to be able to continue with this role. Then with the new game in the works, I'm doubly happy. I'm glad to be involved in all these developments for the series.
Nishihara Kumiko (Renne) - In all the drama CDs, Renne's always shown a restless/active side to her. However, in this work, we get to see a piece of her darkness for a short while, and it was very interesting to perform it. I really like playing in dark stories. (Laugh)

(What impressed you the most when listening to the CD?)
Miura-san - I hadn't realized how much time had passed when we had completed everything. I couldn't believe it, when I finally got to hear everything. Afterwards, I realized that Tanaka Hideyuki's [Weismann] performance was great in that he was a bit unpleasant. (Laughs) [ED: I'm not catching the last sentence. I'm sorry. :(]
Nakao-san - I was pleased with the performances involving Kevin's scene. In the scenes with Zin and Walter and Lucciola and Scherazard, their performances do a great job portraying the fated connections they had between each other. I believe that you can feel their the conflict of their convictions coming together.
Itou-san - I really liked hearing Campanella's exposition, and it was very exciting to hear everyone put on such a great performance. Individually, I really liked the scene when Estelle hugged Renne. It had a very warm feeling to it.
Koyasu-san - The expressive nature of her last lines in the scene when Nishihara-san vanishes. The scene was very well done.
Midorikawa-san - I also think that [Tanaka] Hideyuki-san was very impressive as Weismann. He was very unpleasant. (Laughs)
Nishihara-san - With everyone else's roles... I liked Walter a lot. [ED: Another sentence I can't quite figure out.] Also, Lucciola and Scherazard's girltalk. I thought it was really good. Oh, and of course, hearing that scene about Renne's darkness. (Laughs)
