Legend of Heroes Series to be Featured on NHK World’s Imagine-Nation

On Tuesday, Sept 6th from 23:30 ~ 0:00 UTC, NHK World’s Imagine-nation will be doing a feature on the Legend of Heroes series. The information from their website reads:

MainFeature: RPG Games “The Legend of Heroes Series”
This time we have a big feature on the RPG (Role Play Game) series that began in 1989 with the release of Dragon Slayer – The Legend of Heroes. The first six games in the series were made for personal computers; from the seventh, they are on the Play Station Portable (PSP) platform. Set in the city state of Crossbell, where the forces of light and darkness are deeply intertwined, its young heroes battle through the greatest RPG’s on PSP. Seven titles have been released so far and they have also given rise to animations and popular figurines, becoming the hallmark product of the Nihon Falcom game corporation. The eighth title in the series, THE LEGEND OF HEROES: AO NO KISEKI, is due for release in Japan on September 29th. It’s also NIHON FALCOM CORPORATION’s commemorative 30th anniversary release, appropriately embodying a global vision to surpass those of all of its predecessors and an unprecedented volume of RPG graphics. It is already being called the greatest in the Heroes series yet even before its release. We visit the production site in the busy pre-release period to rush you all the latest information.

I do see a few mistakes in the synopsis, (the whole series takes place in Crossbell? uh…) but it’s kind of nice to see that this is getting more attention this way.
