Ihad posted about the recording images that Falcom tweeted recently. Turns out that these recordings are for the upcoming Falcom Music Chronicle album.

Falcom Music Chronicle is a book detailing the works and music from the games of Nihon Falcom, published by Chara-Ani. It will be released on 3/21, and will have a CD of newly arranged music included with it.

According to the article on 4gamer.net, the brass band arrangements were written by Noriyuki Kamikura (jdk Band’s keyboard player, “Kamicha”), the musical performance was supervised by musician Kenta Fukui (Soprano Sax soloist for the ‘Beat’ track of Hoshi no Arika Zanmai), with supervision by Toshiharu Okajima (jdk Band’s drummer, “Okaji”).

They recorded three songs, To Make the End of Battle from Ys II, Get Over the Barrier from Zero no Kiseki Evolution, and Cry for Me, Cry for You from Sora no Kiseki the 3rd. Kamicha states that the songs selected were also songs that have been performed by the jdk Band as well. He also believes that after the performance, Falcom’s music translates well into brass band arrangements.
