Sen no Kiseki Kai Releasing in Japan on 3/8

In the new issue of Sen no Kiseki Special Magazine, it was announced that Sen no Kiseki Kai -Thors Military Academy 1204- will be releasing in Japan on March 8th, priced at 3980 yen (excluding tax).

Sen no Kiseki Kai is a rerelease of Sen no Kiseki for the PS4, as the original was released for PS3 and Vita. It is planned to have an increased resolution from the original, as well as data transfer from either the PS3 or Vita versions, and multiple functions that are convenient for the player, including the new “Fast Skip” mode.

If players have data from Sen no Kiseki III, they will be able to import it and start the game with special outfits, max bonding points, and 300,000 mira. Lastly, the game is said to run at 4k and 60fps on the PS4 Pro.

A special sleeve jacket featuring artwork of Rean and Class VII will be limited to the first run of the game, as well.

Sen no Kiseki II Kai is currently slated for release later in the year.

  1. Color me a wee bit skeptical about upping the game to 4K for anything other than putting another selling point on the sales sheet, especially since not even the PS4 Pro does native 4K gaming. Plus, getting the most out of 4K in a game usually calls for the art and graphics production departments to be operating on budgets of millions of dollars, with the exception of anything that uses live action FMV.

The 60fps is much more useful. I was impressed by the 60fps video for Ys: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Edition, though Ys VIII probably gets more benefit than the Trails games.

And I got Everlasting Transeunt on loop on my media player right now…

    Regards,

    C.T.
