Manythanks to my friend Ayu Ohseki! She has provided me with a translation to the lyrics for the opening theme for Sen no Kiseki. As a result, it is just too good to keep to myself. So have a little bonus item for this Kiseki filled week.

Translation

Pulse Towards Tomorrow
Vocals: Kanako Kotera / Performance: Falcom jdk BAND

What is it that you hear?
Is it the promise we swore that day to the starry sky?
The world we seek is so vast, and before we knew it, we’d even forgotten our dreams

Even when we’re sucked into and about to drown in the waves of changing seasons
If we can just sense the respiration of the trails that go ’round and ’round
We won’t hesitate any longer

The pulse towards tomorrow reverberates in the sky
Like the glittering, sparkling stars, it becomes light and illuminates the way
So, c’mon, chin up and face straight ahead
That’s right, I’m going to head towards the future

Does something hold your faith?
Is it the promise we swore that day to the starry sky?
The darkness before our eyes is so deep, and we lost even the courage to stand up to it

Because the time we spoke together isn’t a lie, even when we’re about to lose heart,
If we can just sense the respiration of the trails that become one
We won’t hesitate any longer

The pulse towards tomorrow lets the wind burst into song
Like the rainbow flashing between the clouds, it forms a bridge and delineates the way
So, c’mon, chin up and face straight ahead
That’s right, I’ll head towards the future

Even when we’re sucked into and about to drown in the waves of changing seasons
If we can just sense the respiration of the trails that go ’round and ’round
We won’t hesitate any longer

The pulse towards tomorrow reverberates in the sky
Like the glittering, sparkling stars, it becomes light and illuminates the way
So let’s head towards our future

The pulse towards tomorrow lets the wind burst into song
Like the rainbow flashing between the clouds, it forms a bridge and delineates the way
So, c’mon, chin up and
face straight ahead
That’s right, I’ll head towards

That’s right, we’ll head towards the future together

  1. I remember trying to translate this for the PV. Between the overlapping singing, voice acting and narration I wound up making some pretty silly goof-ups in the first two. Ah, hindsight.
